  1. You don't need to be on every single platform or on social media every single day. In 2024, small businesses are focusing on 1 or 2 platforms.

  2. Make your goal to post on one social media platform that you love. Don't spend your precious time and energy on ones that stress you out!

  3. Don't put all your efforts into just one place. Email newsletters are just as important as social media. Social media is great for driving traffic to your website and building brand recognition. Email newsletters are great at converting subscribers into customers and retaining customers.

  4. Make sure your art biz to-do list includes sending emails to your list on a regular basis. My recipe for an email newsletter is Connection, Highlight, Promotion, Call-To-Action. Start with a story, highlight a product, inform about upcoming events/promotions, and have one CTA.

  5. Understand how few people see a single social media post or an email newsletter. People are overwhelmed with information. Only 30% of your followers will see a post, roughly 40% of email subscribers will open an email. Be yourself, lead with your heart and soul and repeat everything. People need to see things at least 3 times in order to buy.
